Dies ist ein neuer Warhammer 40 000 Blog um ein Regiment der Praetorianischen Garde, dem 20ten Praetoria, auch als Dragoon Guards bekannt. Es handelt sich eigentlich um Kavallerieregiment, welches jedoch, ähnlich der Regimenter im Ersten Weltkrieg, fast schon ganz auf Reittiere verzichtet. Die Dragoon Guards gehören zur Kandahar Field Force Group und gehören zu den so genannten Stabs- und Sicherheitseinheiten der Armeegruppe. Auch der Oberbefehlshaber, Lord General Militant V.C.G. Gordon hier mit seinem Generalstab und dem Generalkommissar Narbonius, ist ein Sohn der Praetorianischen Garde. Den Dragoon Guards sind einige andere Einheiten , wie auch eine Deathwatch-Einsatzgruppe, angegliedert.

Dabei habe ich mich an die Vorgaben des White Dwarf 115 gehalten. Der Oberbefehlshaber wird begleitet von einem Kommissar (dem Generalkommissar) zwei Stabsoffizieren (einem Oberstleutnant und einem Major) sowie 4 Grenadierleibwachen, von denen einer der Funker, einer der Standardtenträger und einer der Sergeant (Sergeant Major) ist. Die schwere Waffe ist ein Flammer (zu den Umbauten später mehr in Einzelpostings).

This is a new Warhammer 40 000 blog by a regiment of the Praetorian Guard, the 20th Praetoria, also known as the Dragoon Guards. It is actually Cavalry Regiment, which, however, much of the regiments in the First World War, almost entirely been dispensed on mounts. The Dragoon Guards are part of the Kandahar Field Force Group and belong to the so-called staff and security units of the army group.
